Director of Sales, Payers

We partner with HR, Compliance, and Provider Operations teams to monitor healthcare populations to identify license, credential, compliance, and payment eligibility issues before they impact patients. We monitor employees, vendors, provider networks, licenses, credentials and more for OIG and state Medicaid exclusions, sanctions or disciplinary actions, license expirations or suspensions and more, continuously verifying everything at the primary source.

Our solutions combine an intuitive user experience with advanced data matching algorithms and seamless integrations to continuously identify and verify compliance issues in the optimal workflow, such as an HRIS or claims processing system.

ProviderTrust seeks to hire a Director of Sales (DoS) for the Payer segment.  This individual will need to serve as the primary sales and expansion driver for this segment. The Payer DoS will represent all facets of the ProviderTrust offering to the payer segment, ensuring that the payer sales team meets and exceeds performance expectations as established by the business.

The Payer DoS will have a deep understanding of the healthcare marketplace and will have experience working for a health plan or having successfully sold directly to payer organizations.  The right candidate will have experience selling progressive SaaS tools, healthcare data, as well as experience in understanding the provider as seen through the eyes of health plans.  As this position has responsibility for the Payer sales team, candidates having managed sales professionals and scaled sales teams are strongly preferred.

  • Bachelor’s degree and/or equivalent combination of education and work experience. 
  • 5-10+ years’ sales experience. Complex sales, solution selling, strategic accounts leadership is a plus, especially healthcare tech / SaaS.
  • 5+ years of experience selling to Health Plans (the right experience in selling to Providers, Life Sciences and Pharmaceuticals considered, significant bias to health plans).
  • Prior experience managing, coaching, and expanding a sales team.
  • Ability to immediately engage with and leverage existing payer relationships
  • Willingness to lead and roll up sleeves to be highly involved in sales opportunities.
  • Proven track record of meeting and exceeding quotas.
  • Capability to bring a network of relationships to help create a new business pipeline.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, in small/large audiences.
  • Highly organized and capable of leading multiple deals to completion.
  • Participate in and lead teams to successful wins in competitive sales and RFP opportunities.
Duties and Responsibilities
  • Own the market activation, logo acquisition, and expansion strategy in the payer space.
  • Develop and deliver solution proposals, product demonstrations, and presentations.
  • Build and maintain a strong sales pipeline and forecast accuracy through discovery calls and meetings with clients and partners.
  • Work with the Director of Market Development to plan, organize, and orchestrate internal resources appropriately to obtain sales objectives.
  • Utilize company data and tools to maximize lead gen and market pursuit efforts, refining processes, and approaches using data insights and qualitative experience.
  • Understand evolving business terrains and effectively articulate product value proposition to prospective clients.
  • Serve as a key member of and contributor to the Payer Segment team.
  • Conduct market intelligence and business analyses to help focus sales efforts, target areas of specific interest to potential clients, and prepare for sales meetings.
