We partner with HR, Compliance, and Provider Operations teams to continuously monitor healthcare populations to identify license, credential, compliance, and payment eligibility issues before they impact patients. Our solutions monitor employees, vendors, provider networks, licenses, credentials, and more for OIG and state Medicaid exclusions, sanctions or disciplinary actions, license expirations or suspensions.

We are seeking a VP of Engineering to scale and nurture our growing engineering team. The ideal candidate is an inspiring leader with significant experience in migration strategy. You’ll work with both internal teams and systems integrators to develop architecture and migration strategies for the portfolio of our enterprise applications.

As VP of Engineering, you will be responsible for creating a high-performing engineering team in scale, maturity, and effectiveness, while also leading and building the growth of our products. This role will lead platform architecture, and will work closely with both the Product team and our CTO to play a critical role in shaping the company’s strategic technical planning and roadmap. As a member of our people leadership team, the VP of Engineering will report to the CTO.

Requirements

  • Develop strategic direction and objectives, ensure that all engineering projects, initiatives and processes are aligned to the strategy and success of the organization
  • Collaborate with Executive Leaders to establish a mission aligned with the Company Vision
  • Promote iterative, thoughtful decision-making within self-organized teams
  • Lead the maturation of software development and SDLC practices within the organization
  • Identify organizational requirements for changes to systems, structures and culture necessary to support agility and adaptability
  • Stay informed of trends and changes in the broader technology and business landscapes
  • Understand and plan for the product roadmap, and maintain awareness of broader technical and business changes
  • Use operational trends and organizational goals to develop strategic themes and objectives
  • Identify, implement and drive the adoption of high-performing best practices within the Engineering Team
  • Iterate on ProviderTrust’s career ladder for engineers and ensure the team has clear expectations and growth paths
  • Be encouraging, supportive, kind, fun, positive, honest, a great coach, and above all, a great student

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Experience working for a SaaS company
  • At least 10 years of professional experience deploying and scaling web applications and managing engineering teams, engineering managers, and individual contributors
  • 9 years of experience or equivalent expertise in leading software delivery teams
  • Professional approach to software craftsmanship with a commitment to the disciplines of test-driven development, refactoring, simple design, collaborative programming, and acceptance testing
  • Extensive experience building self-organizing teams that meet organizational engineering and architecture standards
  • Accomplished in working with senior leadership while balancing organizational needs and risks
  • Experience leading teams that define and implement migration and decommission plans for legacy software
  • Demonstrated ability to meet delivery goals spanning multiple divisions with shifting timelines, staffing, and dependencies
  • Extensive knowledge of people leadership practices, such as change management, recruiting, hiring, performance management, corrective action and compensation administration
