Welcome to Let’s Talk about Healthcare, a new podcast produced by ProviderTrust about the challenges and opportunities, the good and the not so good, and the moments of joy found all over our healthcare system today. And remember – it’s up to all of us to make healthcare work better for everyone, one day a time.
Healthcare in the US is extremely complicated. We have a patchwork of federal and state regulations and a marketplace that has undergone some pretty dramatic changes in the last decade. The seismic shifts brought about by the Coronavirus pandemic have upended long-held assumptions about how patients need and want to access care, and shone new light on longstanding inequities in population health.
We’re also under a new presidential administration and all of the normal and unprecedented changes that go with that.
Healthcare is everyone’s business, and I think we’re all acutely aware of that these days. For those of us who work in healthcare, whether working directly with patients, or behind the scenes, there are a lot of problems to be solved. But there are also a lot of bright spots, where creativity, ingenuity, and sheer determination are combining to launch innovative solutions to make healthcare work better. This podcast is a place to talk about all that and more.
We’ll talk about healthcare regulations, fraud, waste, and abuse, digital health, critical processes, consumer behavior, innovation, leadership, data and research, and whatever else we stumble upon along the way.
We’ll mostly follow an interview format so that you can hear directly from the experts, but if you have a specific question you’d like answered, or a topic you’d like to learn more about, let us know! We’d love to hear your input along the way.
So whether you’re leading a healthcare organization, a provider, a healthcare nerd, a patient, or just looking to learn more about healthcare, please join us and enjoy the journey.
